Our client school is a KS3 and 4 provision based in Marple, Stockport who are seeking to employ multiple Teaching Assistants on a long term, potential permanent basis starting 27th February. The school caters for young people with social and emotional difficulties and as a result do display challenging behaviours, so having experience managing these behaviours is desirable. The Teaching Assistants are required to work within Year 9 and Year 10 classes supporting with academic development. Most pupils within this school complete GCSE's once they reach KS4 so GCSE Maths and English grade C is a minimum requirement.
The School is based across two sites in Marple and Stockport. The Marple site, where this position will be, focus on academic development of pupils therefore Teaching Assistants with experience of academic support up to Secondary School is desirable.
This school is difficult to reach via public transport so access to a vehicle is essential. There may also be occasions where the Teaching Assistant would need to travel between sites, potentially transporting students so willingness to get business insurance is essential.

Are proactive in the the workplace, including foreseeing moments of crisis
Have the personality and attitude to manage young people with social and emotional difficulties
Can drive and have access to a car
Are happy to get business insurance as you may be transporting pupils
