Behaviour TA in Andover

Job description

Teaching Personnel are exclusively working with a school in Andover who require a Behaviour TA to start in September 2018. The school caters for Secondary aged pupils with SEMH which includes pupils that have been permanently or temporarily excluded from mainstream schooling, and may display needs such as:

  • Autism (ASC/ASD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • ADHD

The role will require candidates to interact with pupils on a 1:1 basis or small groups at key stages 3 & 4. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant. However, do not be deterred as a passion for working in this type of school can be an ideal basis for development. Candidates that are suited for this type of school tend to have experience or demonstrate tendencies in 2 or more of the following:

  • Youth/Community work experience
  • SEN experience
  • Residential support/care worker
  • Sports coaching
  • Team Teach
  • Youth Offending Services
  • Challenging behaviour within family
  • Mentoring
  • Teaching/Learning support Assistance
  • Psychology
  • Outgoing personality
  • Resilience

We are searching for TA to work in full and part time positions between the hours of 8.30am and 3.30pm.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
