Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a range of pupils with severe, complex and profound multiple learning difficulties aged 11-16 years. You will assist other staff in creating and implementing risk assessment and you will identify and address the needs of pupils that require additional support through 1:1 or in group settings. We are looking for someone who is comfortable deescalating behaviour and with excellent communication skills as some of the pupils may be non-verbal or have speech and language difficulties A candidate with experience working with children with Autism, experience working with children with diverse special needs and/or experience in working in nurture group settings is desirable, but not essential.
The position is long term, starting ASAP, and full time. The school is in WF1 and they cater to secondary students with a range of SEN and SEMH issues across two separate sites. The school has been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and the right candidate will have the opportunity to go on a permanent contract with the school depending on their success in the role.
We are looking for someone:
- With SEN experience in the last 11 months
- Who has the passion and desire to have a positive impact on a pupil with Special Needs
- Who is able to work with a pupil 1:1 or in a group setting and is willing to deliver personal care

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
