Our client school located in Bolton have an opportunity for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, to gain a part time position within a high achieving secondary school.
- Behaviour support teaching assistant - Starting ASAP
- Earn up to £1000- £1200 a month
- Working on a 1-to-1 basis with identified pupils and with small groups.
- Previous experience working with challenging students would be ideal
- Experience working alongside SEN students would be of huge benefit
With a high influx of students joining the school in September the school are looking to bolster their inclusion team with a 'firm but fair' behaviour support teaching assistant.
The Inclusion Manger has identified a number of pupils who may need some additional support throughout the year and is looking for a Behaviour support teaching assistant that can build a level of trust with students that may otherwise struggle in mainstream teaching. You will be working alongside individuals on a 1-1 basis but may also be looking after groups of challenging students within the schools inclusion centre.
Attributes required to be shortlisted for this Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant;
- Must be influential when working with students and helping them to engage with there studies
- Identify when disruptive behaviour may occur and help to diffuse this so lessons aren't interrupted and other students aren't affected.
- Diffuse situations when they escalate and have a positive influence amongst the pupils you work with

The client school is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll situated on the boarder of Bolton and Wigan. The number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average. Located on the outskirts of Bolton, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Chorley, Salford and Wigan.
