Teaching Assistant - Full time role
GOOD Blackpool Primary School
Work alongside a child with complex needs and associated behavioural difficulties
A proven track record of working with children across the KS2 Curriculum
A school in Blackpool have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source and appoint a Teaching Assistant (L2, L3 or Degree trained) to work closely alongside a child with complex needs. In terms of needs, the boy is working in Lower KS2 and is currently assessed way below 'expected age related levels'. He also struggles to communicate and socialise with other children and will need different strategies implanted in order to build self confidence and improve behaviour.
The school is located in the heart of Blackpool and the majority of children who arrive in school are working in line with age related expectations and the behaviour tends to be GOOD due to consistent use of the schools behaviour policy. The Head teacher is driven to raising academic standards and increase pupil confidence and with this, gain OUTSTANDING at the next Ofsted inspection.
The school is accessible by car, train and bus with it being in the centre of Blackpool. The role will be to start as soon as possible and run for for the remainder of the academic year and possibly longer depending on how the child engages with the support. This will be a five day a week position covering up to 33 hours. The rate of pay is competitive with other roles of this sort and so this is a very good opportunity for a candidate who has recently completed their Teaching Assistant course OR an experienced practitioner who may be looking for a change!
Please contact Chloe if you are interested in the above role, or equally so, please feel free to pass on our details if you have any friends or family members you think may be suitable. I can be contacted in the office on 01772 842155 or by email
