Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistants to work with our client school in the Bournemouth area.

We have full time, part time and ad-hoc work available from September.

The school is a Secondary SEN Setting - catering for pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school. The pupils can be challenging and may have additional SEN needs such as Autism or SEMH.

We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to work on a 1-1 basis off-site. This role involves working off-site, usually at a library or learning centre, working 1-1 with a pupil. You will liaise with the class teacher regarding the work for the day.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • have strong behaviour management
  • be resilient
  • be confident supporting pupils with academic work
  • be able to drive and have access to a vehicle with business motor insurance

You don't necessarily need to have experience in a school setting. We are also keen to hear from people with backgrounds in youth work, military, justice system, sports coaching and care.

We have positions available for full time, part time and ad-hoc work. The school day starts at 8.30 and finishes either 3.30 or 4.15 (varies throughout the week). The pay for this role is £9 per hour minimum.
