Behaviour Support Assistant
Required ASAP

**Behaviour Mentors work with pupils who are achieving below the required levels due to poor attendance and behaviour. Pupils may be at risk of exclusion, or have been temporarily been excluded already.**
Role:
- Full time Behaviour Support Assistant – ASAP start
- Temporary post until the end of the academic year (July 2020) with potential permanent progression opportunity
- Working hours (8am – 3pm)
- Earn up to GBP1200 per month
This Behaviour Support Assistant role is at an all boys pupil referral unit based in Fazakerley. The school is easily accessible from Liverpool city centre due to its strong public transport links. For those with their own transport, it is a short drive from the M62 making the surrounding areas; Prescot, Rainhill, Wavertree and Knowsley.
**The school caters for secondary aged students 14 -18. The needs of the students include SEMH and challenging behaviour, autism (ASD) and related challenging behaviour, and mental health difficulties.**
Applicant requirements;
- Previous exposure supporting the learning of ‘harder to reach’ secondary aged pupils
- Be confident supporting pupils aged 14 -18 within their studies across various subject areas
- Hold previous experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour
- Be able to build positive working relationships with pupils
- Team Teach, Approach or any other form of restraint/physical intervention/de-escalation training is highly desirable
