Behaviour Support Assistant

Do you have experience supporting behaviour within a Secondary School?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting experienced and confident Behaviour Mentors for specialist secondary settings in Halifax, to support learners with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties to re-engage with their learning and education. The aim is to ensure that the young people can access learning again, progress and plan path-ways for a successful future. The settings place a distinct emphasis on developing, and maintaining, key social and personal skills that will enable young people to become valuable members of society.

Working as a Behaviour Mentor, you will be expected to have experience supporting students with additional learning needs, and challenging behaviour across KS3 and KS4.

This position is initially being offered on a full-time temporary basis, with longer term prospects for the appointed Behaviour Mentor. You will be fully supported by the school SENCO within this position and will work directly on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who portray challenging behaviour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
