While schools are still closed and are working on plans on re-opening, Teaching Personnel are looking for Behaviour Support Assistants to work in mainstream Bradford schools.
The Bradford Primary branch are looking to recruit a number of Behaviour Support Workers to work in primary schools in the Bradford area.
The types of children you may be working with may present additional needs such as ADHD/Mild ASC/Asperger's etc. As a behaviour support worker you would be working with children with challenging behaviourn and your main objective would be to engage them with education.
The successful behaviour support worker will have experience supporting challenging behaviour and/or other complex needs, have strong classroom and behaviour management and have patience and an empathetic approach. You will be resilient, show initiative and believe you have the potential to deliver outstanding outcomes.
To be considered as a Behaviour Support Worker you must:
- Excellent approach to supporting vulnerable young learners
- Have the ability to maintain a positive learning experience
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
- Be non-judgemental and open minded
Preferred but not essential experience:
- Previous school/ Primary experience preferable
- Previous experience as a special needs teaching assistant
- Willing to adapt to a new challenge everyday
- Supportive and open minded approach to working with special needs children
- Have strong communication skills
