Teaching Assistant – Salisbury

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026 on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students across a range of subjects, providing targeted assistance to those who may need additional help with their learning.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting students in lessons to ensure they remain engaged and make good progress
-
Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
-
Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation
-
Helping to promote inclusion and a positive learning environment
-
Contributing to the emotional and social development of students
The ideal candidate will:
-
Have experience working with young people, ideally within a school or educational setting
-
Be patient, caring, and committed to supporting students with varying needs
-
Have good communication and interpersonal skills
-
Be proactive, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team
-
Be passionate about helping students to succeed both academically and personally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
