Cover Supervisor
Job description
A well-regarded mainstream secondary school near Fordingbridge is seeking a full-time Cover Supervisor to join their team from February 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual who is passionate about supporting young people and gaining valuable experience within a school setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
The role will involve:

Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4

Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
-
Ensuring students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons
-
Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
-
Supporting the wider school community and contributing to a positive learning environment
The school is looking for someone who:

Has experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting
-
Is confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour effectively
-
Possesses strong communication and organisational skills
-
Is adaptable, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with students and staff
-
Holds a degree or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
