Teaching Personnel are looking for a candidate to work as a Behavioural Support Assistant at a school in the Trafford area. The pupils have found it hard to engage in mainstream provisions, so it is vital that effective and engaging intervention is provided to guarantee a promising future for them in alternative provisions. Pupils are aged 11-16 with SEN, such as ASC, BESD and MLD.
This role is temporary, but with the possibility of becoming permanent if you settle into the job well.
Pay will start at GBP10.20 per hour, with working hours typically being from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with SEN
- Behaviour management experience
- TeamTeach (desirable)
Main responsibilties would involve:
- Intervening when pupils' behaviour requires attention
- Engaging students to ensure they stay on track with the curriculum
- Reporting back to the relevant parties to promote a high standard of care
