Job description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with SEN / SEMH needs?
Teaching Personnel is seeking reliable and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistants to join our team, working full-time in SEN schools across Bolton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEMH or Special Educational Needs (SEN) to manage and improve their behaviour
  • Implement individual behaviour support plans under the guidance of teaching staff
  • Assist in creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to monitor pupil progress
  • Accompany pupils to off-site activities as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in SEMH or SEN settings is essential
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
