A welcoming secondary school in the RCT area is looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to provide classroom and pastoral support to students who benefit from extra guidance, structure, and encouragement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with young people and making a positive impact on their school experience.

No formal teaching qualifications are required. If you’re reliable, approachable, and keen to support learning and behaviour, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

You’ll work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the school day.

This role includes:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups in the classroom

• Helping students stay focused, organised, and engaged with learning

• Providing reassurance and encouragement to pupils who may lack confidence

• Supporting behaviour management strategies consistently and calmly

• Assisting with classroom routines and lesson preparation

• Building positive relationships with students and staff

School experience isn’t essential, transferable skills matter most.
