Cover Supervisor – Rhondda Cynon Taff (CF41)

Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff (CF41 and surrounding areas)
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time, until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £110–£125 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, keeping pupils engaged and on task
  • Deliver pre-prepared work and manage daily classroom routines
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, productive learning environment
  • Support pupils with their tasks, answering questions and offering guidance
  • Communicate effectively with staff and follow school policies
  • Adapt quickly to different subjects, classes, and age groups

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or otherwise)
  • Confidence, reliability, and flexibility across different year groups
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A calm, supportive approach to behaviour management
  • A genuine passion for education and helping pupils succeed

Requirements

Teaching Personnel will support you in obtaining:

  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Two recent professional references
