Behaviour Support Assistant
Job description

Behaviour Support Assistant required for Brighton based Primary school starting in September.
• Behaviour Support Assistant
• Supporting individual pupils who display challenging behaviour, in and out of lessons.
• Position for the Autumn Term, with the potential of securing a permanent position dependent on funding
• Typical earnings of GBP 1200-1400 per month depending on experience.
• Working with pupils on a 1-to-1 basis and in small groups to promote positive behaviour in line with school policies.
• Previous experience working with pupils with additional learning needs or those who display challenging behaviour is desirable.
The SENCO at our client Primary School is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant who enjoys working alongside students that may otherwise struggle to engage in class. You will look to make a real difference on their daily school life and help them push the boundaries on what they can achieve during their time in school.
You will be working alongside students that will tend to lose focus and concentration during lesson and could then start to have a negative affect on the learning of other pupils in class; it will be your job to reduce cases of low level disruption during the lesson. It is integral that you are able to build strong relationships with students and have a ‘firm but fair’ approach when dealing with challenging behaviour.
“The school’s pastoral care for its pupils is strong. Pupils are happy and feel they are well looked after.” Ofsted
For immediate consideration please send an updated CV to Sarah.Grant@TeachingPersonnel.com or call the Brighton Primary Branch on 01273 809446

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
