Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

We’re looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils aged 3–19with:
- Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD)
- Autism Spectrum Conditions
- Specific learning difficulties
- Complex additional needs
In this hands‑on role, you’ll work flexibly across all key stages, supporting learners who may struggle to engage in mainstream settings. Your focus will be helping pupils feel safe, understood, and ready to thrive—whether through tailored 1:1 support, behaviour management strategies, or building positive, trusting relationships.
You’ll work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to create a safe, structured and positive learning environment where every student feels seen, supported and capable of success.

Who We’re Looking For
Someone with:
- Experience supporting individuals with SEN and challenging behaviours (Essential)
- Experience with children, support work, youth work, care, mentoring or coaching
- Confidence and resilience during challenging moments
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- Understanding of ALN/SEMH needs
- A genuine passion for helping young people grow emotionally and academically

- Age 18+
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Minimum of two professional references covering 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
