Job description

Full-Time Position | September Start 

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a primary school in Penarth that is looking for an ALN Teaching Assistant to work within the Foundation Phase.

The successful candidate will support younger learners as they develop their communication, social and early learning skills within a nurturing classroom environment.

Your Day Could Include

  • Supporting children aged 4-7 throughout the school day
  • Helping pupils develop speech, language and communication skills
  • Encouraging positive social interactions during lessons and play
  • Supporting structured learning activities
  • Working closely with the class teacher and ALNCo
  • Creating a calm and inclusive environment for every child

The School is Looking For

Someone who:

  • Enjoys working with younger children
  • Understands the importance of routine and consistency
  • Has experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs
  • Can remain positive and encouraging throughout the day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
