Location: Neath
Pay: £14.25 per hour
Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday | Term Time Only
- Delivering targeted one-to-one support for specific pupils.
- Leading small group interventions to boost social and academic skills.
- Assisting the classroom teacher within the dedicated ALN class.
- Supporting learners within mainstream classrooms during integration periods.
- Delivering personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Following Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Using communication strategies such as PECS and visual timetables.
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Encouraging independence and essential life skills.
- Assisting with personal care and manual handling where required.
- Supporting pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and educational visits.
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Complex communication needs
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Sensory processing differences
- Children who benefit from structured routines, visual supports, and alternative communication methods.

- Experience supporting children or adults with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and Mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent).
- Degree qualification.
- Additional ALN training.
- Manual Handling certification.
- PECS training.
- Team Teach certification.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
