Behaviour Support Assistant - Bury

A smaller than Primary School in Radcliffe, Bury (M26) is currently looking for a behaviour support assistant to support children within the school on a 1:1 basis across Key Stage 2. This role will be starting in September 2019 and carry on until the end of the academic year.

With inclusion and support at the centre of the primary schools ethos, the Head teacher is looking to recruit a number of teaching assistants that can support behaviour and inclusion within Key Stage 2.

As a behaviour support assistant, you will be expected to support, engage and inspire learning on a 1:1 and small group basis. In addition, there would be freedom within the curriculum for creativity so candidates with transferable skills like sports coaches looking to transition into primary school support roles would be encouraged to apply.

This primary school in Bury portray core values of inclusion, friendship, responsibility and making good choices to name a few and as a result of this, any future behaviour support assistants would be welcomed in with open arms. With great facilities in the nurture areas of school, you would have access to great spaces to aid learning and inclusion.

You would be working very closely with the SENCO and inclusion team to help support behaviour in Year 6 in particular, however there is scope to support behaviour and autism in other areas of school too.

Community and Youth Workers along with sports coaches looking to transition into primary schools would be welcomed to apply as their transferrable skill sets have worked in school previously.
