Behaviour Mentor
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
I am looking for behaviour mentors to work at a large mainstream secondary school in Derby. The roles (of which there are 3) are all due to start in November on a full-time basis.
The School
This school has joined a very successful Multi-Academy-Trust and has gone from strength to strength. With a full year 7 and an outstanding leadership team this is the perfect time to join the school!
'Have brought about a significant, positive change in the standard of pupils' behaviour at the school and the policies, practice and culture of safeguarding in a short period of time. Pupils, both in and out of lessons, generally behave well, and all the outside areas of the school are seen by pupils as safe'
The Role
You will be supporting mainly male pupils on a 1:1 basis who are unable to cope in mainstream class. You will be working with them in a separate building under the guidance of an outstanding SENCO. You will be given support and training to improve your behaviour management skills and will be regularly reviewed. This is a very demanding role and will fall in the normal hours of school time (8:30 to 3:30)
The Candidate
The school are looking for someone to be part of the school community. Since the behaviour policy has been put in place, not only has behaviour but attendance and results have dramatically improved. It is ESSENTIAL that everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet and policies and procedures are followed.
What's in it for you?
- The perfect opportunity to start your education career
- The most rewarding role helping the most vulnerable in society
- Full-time, long-term work!
If this interests you, please get in touch immediately as schools want to short list ASAP. I look forward to hearing from you.
