Behaviour Mentor
Manchester
Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a behaviour mentor at a vibrant secondary academy in South Manchester. The successful behaviour mentor will be responsible for supporting individual students and small groups of students, offering academic and behavioural support. This is a full time role commencing in January and running until the end of the academic year.
The successful behaviour mentor will have experience working with young people aged 11-16 and will be able to create positive, professional relationships with students and staff. They will work alongside students inside and out of the classroom to encourage, support and motivate students to achieve their potential. Candidates must have excellent behaviour management skills and will be able to diffuse challenging situations calmly and effectively.
This is a highly rewarding role and would be well suited to Youth Workers, Sports Coaches or those who have experience working with challenging young people.
Highlights of this behaviour mentor role:
- Full time behaviour mentor role supporting students across years 7 – 11
- Supporting individual and small groups of students inside and outside of the classroom
- The successful candidate but have experience working with young people and must have a C or above in GCSE English and Maths
- Introduction to large vibrant secondary academy in South Manchester
The successful behaviour mentor will join a large secondary academy with just under 1000 pupils on roll. The academy has been on an excellent journey in recent years and has been locally and nationally recognised for its significant improvements. In a recent Ofsted report, the academy was judged to be ‘Good’ with a strong and determined leadership team. For those on public transport, the academy is easily accessible by public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas. For those who drive, the academy is located a 20 minute drive from the city centre.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
