A mainstream Primary School based near Enfield Lock is looking to hire an enthusiastic and caring learning support assistant to join their inclusion team. They are looking for someone who is patient and calm, someone can set firm and clear boundaries, and can work efficiently as part of a team. You will work closely with the Early Years team, as well as the SENCo.

The role will be to work 1:1 with a child in Reception who has Autism, supporting with behaviour, social interaction as well as the National Curriculum. The successful Learning Support Assistant will:

  • be educated to degree level, or hold a CACHE Level 3
  • Have 1 year of experience supporting children/adults with Autism
  • Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and be willing to learn and develop new skills
  • Be keen to work as part of a team and have good communication skills
  • Be committed to promoting the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring equal opportunities to learn and develop.

Experience with PECS and/or non-verbal communication is preferable, though not essential

To apply for this role you must have an enhanced Child Workforce DBS check and be registered on to the update service. Candidates that do not have a current DBS will have to apply for one through the agency. This is compulsory and not optional.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
