Full time Attendance Officer required to join the Administration/Pastoral team of a secondary school based in Oldham.

This role is a permanent opportunity which will involve monitoring the attendance of pupils in school whilst implementing strategies to raise the engagement of the 1500 pupils on roll.

  • Full time Attendance Officer position starting at the earliest convenience
  • Paid a competitive daily rate dependent on experience and responsibilities
  • Working within a large modern secondary school in Oldham
  • Further training and development opportunities available
  • Permanent position with salary of £17,340 - £19,600 (experience dependant)

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Attendance Officer to join the school at the earliest convenience for a long term position with the opportunity of a permanent contract in the upcoming academic year. The school have recently transitioned from SIMS to using Bromcom as the schools standard management information system and as such the incoming Attendance Officer will be required to use this software to collect and input data of attendance throughout the academy. Through the monitoring of this data the successful Attendance Officer will be required to implement a range of strategies with the support of the Pastoral staff to help raise attendance within the school and make a real difference to the pupil's academic success. As the schools Attendance Officer you will be required to be in contact with students, the pastoral staff, parents and external agencies on a daily basis and as such will be required to hold a professional manner and have excellent communication skills.

The Pastoral staff in the school are a close knit team who share a real passion for the wellbeing of the pupils and work hard together to make sure every pupil has every opportunity to be a success within the school. With great links to the local community the school has a very welcoming and supportive environment and will offer every opportunity for the incoming Attendance Officer to be a success in their new position. Located a short distance from the Hollinwood Interchange off the M60 ring road and being a short walk from major public transport links, the school is easily accessible for all.
