Attendance Officer
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: Grade D, £22,737 – £23,114 FTE (actual salary dependent on hours and experience)
Contract: Term-time only, 37 hours per week
Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier if available)

We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Attendance Officer to join our pastoral and safeguarding team at our thriving secondary school in Daventry. Your role will be vital in supporting student wellbeing and academic success through excellent attendance tracking, follow-up and family engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor daily student attendance and follow up absences promptly
-
Work closely with parents/carers, pastoral staff and external agencies to improve attendance
-
Maintain accurate records and generate attendance reports for senior leaders and governors
-
Support the school’s attendance strategy and contribute to intervention planning

Participate in home visits and meetings where necessary
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
-
Has excellent administrative and communication skills
-
Is confident using school MIS systems (e.g. SIMS or Arbor) and Microsoft Office
-
Can build positive relationships with students, families and staff
-
Works well under pressure and maintains confidentiality
-
Has previous school experience (preferred but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
