We are now looking for an Assistant Manager to join the team and to help manage our flagship centre in North Finchley.

About the role

This role is to assist the Centre Manager with the smooth and effective operation of our North Finchley Centre.  You’ll get involved with all areas of management, administration, sales and support for the Centre. We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible individual, who has a true passion for learning and leading others.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for:

  • Management – you will be involved in the day to day running of the club, including managing a team of tutors under the guidance of the Club Manager;
  • Customer Service – ensuring parents are provided with the time and information they need to ensure their child’s learning needs are met. Building relationships with parents will be a critical and enjoyable part of the role;
  • Membership Generation – through various marketing, sales and PR activities, a significant part of your role will be to raise local awareness of the North Finchley inTuition Club in order to gain new members;
  • Tutoring – along with all team members, the Assistant Manager will play an active role in the delivery of tuition through a blend of technology based learning and tutor/pupil interactions.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful applicant will:

  • Have an undergraduate degree with strong GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Be a great ambassador for the Club with exceptional customer service skills
  • Have a real passion for learning
  • Be a team player who can organise, manage, take direction and prioritise
  • Be a confident, persuasive ambassador for the Club and be able to generate new memberships from sales and marketing activities and renew memberships with existing clients;
  • Recent experience of working in an education setting, and ideally with primary aged children, would be beneficial but not essential.

Hours of work

This role is offered on a full time basis (35 hours per week) and the successful applicant will work 10:30hrs to 18:30hrs each day, 5 days per week.  Some flexibility on this may be possible.

Salary and Benefits

  • Annual salary from GBP25,000 per year to reflect skills and experience
  • 20 days holiday + UK bank holidays, increasing with service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
