ASC Teacher- September start- Tameside

The position is for a full time specialist ASC Teacher. Initially the role is temporary and will begin in September 2018 and will run up until December, however there could be the opportunity for permanent dependent on the need of the Setting.

The Setting is a Secondary Special School located in the Tameside area. The School caters for 75 pupils with a wide range of needs including: complex learning difficulties and profound learning difficulties.

In its most school OFSTED inspection the Setting was graded as a 'outstanding' with OFSTED commenting that the School were particularly outstanding in supporting pupil's social, emotional and personal development. In order to apply for this role you must be a Qualified Teacher and have a passion for supporting pupils with SEN.

The ideal Teacher will have experience in supporting pupils with SEN in some capacity; however this is not essential as this position could be ideal for a mainstream Teacher who is looking for the opportunity to gain experience within a Special School.

In order to apply for this role the candidate must have:

  • Qualified Teacher status with a passion for supporting SEN
  • An understanding of P-levels and NCL
  • A clear understanding of differentiation and know how to adapt lessons according to the needs of pupils

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
