SEN Support Assistant - Widnes to start immediately

  • Experience planning, delivering and assessing ‘Read, Write, Inc’ Phonics across EYFS and KS1 is highly sought after.
  • Have worked with pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • Experience working alongside children with Autism and Speech Language and Communication needs

Teaching Personnel is seeking to recruit an experienced and passionate teaching assistant, to working within a Widnes Primary School. The position is to start in February 2017 and run until at least July, with the opportunity to secure a longer term/permanent contract.

The successful candidate will be required to provide 1:1 and small GROUP Phonics booster session for EYFS and KS1 pupils. Experience working with ‘Read, Write, Inc’ Phonics and delivering small group intervention is highly sought after for this role.

The role:

The role is to work on a full time basis in a KS 1 / KS2 ASC resource base class supporting a number of children from a range of challenging backgrounds. The majority of children who you will be supporting will have a range of complexed needs, the children will be working below expected age levels and have a range of Special Educational Needs.
