1:1 Teaching Assistant - Autism

A Primary school based in Croydon is currently looking for experienced learning support assistants to join their team as soon as possible. The school is based in South Croydon. The role will involve you working in a classroom of about 30 pupils, focusing on a 1:1 basis with a number of children who have additional needs. You will be working Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 4:00pm on a long-term basis, with the potential to eventually go permanent directly with the school. As the children at the school are of all different age groups and follow different learning pathways, you will be expected to move around classes and work with children of all needs when and where needed. Due to the nature of the children and their needs, the school is looking for somebody who is extremely proactive, versatile, and open to working with all different forms of special needs. Experience of working with TEACCH (treatment and education of autistic and related communication-disabled children) is also preferred.
