Youth Worker Required
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
We are looking for candidates with Youth Work experience to work with young people aged 7-19, encouraging them, providing them with support and helping them to achieve their potential. The primary focus of your role will be on the personal, social, cultural and educational development of young people in SEN provisions.
You will help disaffected youths with social problems that are affected by crime, unemployment and anti-social behaviour.
The clients that we work with often expect you to work directly with individuals on their personal issues, assessing their needs, listening to their problems, establishing goals, counselling them and supporting them through tough times.
Ultimately it's all about empowering youths and giving them opportunities that they would otherwise miss out on.
Our client school in East Manchester is looking to recruit someone who can fulfill the above role and work closely within a team to reach the desired outcome for all pupils.
If you are team teach trained this would be desirable, however it is not essential and we can provide CPD at Teaching Personnel to assist in receiving this training,
The role is to start in January and can become permanent for the right person. For further information please do not hesitate to contact me on my details below.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
