Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience in Youth work looking for an opportunity work with special needs?
Do you want to work in a special school with children with a wide range of needs?
Do you have considerable experience working with children with special educational needs?
An 'Good' special school is currently seeking to appoint a Youth Work Teaching Assistant for February. The school currently has 67 pupils enrolled and caters for pupils with complex, medical and physical needs. Due to the specific needs of the pupils many communication methods are used throughout the setting such as: iPads, PECs, Braille and BSL. The main aim of this setting is to promote and encourage the independence of pupils, so therefore it is essential for the candidate to share this passion.
The Youth Worker needs to be flexible and willing to work with pupils of all abilities.
The ideal candidate should have experience of:
- Moving and Handling
- PEG feeds
- Tracheostomies
- Personal Care
- School based experience is also highly desirable

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
