Primary SENCO - South East London

  • September Start
  • Permanent, Full Time Position!! Salary M1 - M6
  • Central part of the borough of Lewisham with easy access to both Catford and Lewisham.

A School in Lewisham are seeking to appoint an innovative and dynamic SENCO.

The School Is looking for a talented SENCO Manager, with leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.

Role:

To ensure special educational needs provision is managed effectively and efficiently to ensure that all children in the school reach their full potential.

To be responsible for the day to day operation of provision, provide professional guidance and develop positive working relationships with parents, and other agencies.

Have knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements as well as national and local educational initiatives relating to provision for learners with additional needs.

A teacher who is committed and driven to ensuring that all children achieve regardless of their background or learning needs.

A full time SENCO which will include some class teaching.

A teacher who is passionate about working with SEND pupil’s and is driven to maintaining our high expectations for pupils.

A good or outstanding practitioner.

A teacher who will enjoy working in a small focused, friendly and supportive staff team.

The successful candidate will be revising and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school's Inclusion policies. You will set the highest expectations for yourself and for others. You must be committed to ensuring that all pupils receive an outstanding educational experience in a school that is focused on raising performance at every level.

The ideal candidate will be:

- Fully qualified with strategic skills and knowledge to support teachers and astutely to improve the inclusive culture for learning.

-Experience and knowledgeable in working effectively with children with ASD and SEND.

- A warm, engaging, effective communicator.

- Energetic and efficient, with a vision to motivate, inspire and empower those around you.
