A school near Central Leeds have contacted Teaching Personnel in search of a Year 6 teacher to work at the school until at least the end of the winter term (December 2020). If you are available full-time and have experience teaching Year 6 in preparation for KS2 SATs then see below for more details!
The school are in need of a Year 6 teacher as one of their other teachers is unlikely to be allowed back to school until Christmas for social distancing reasons, so the Year 6 teacher will be required elsewhere. The school need a teacher full-time until Christmas at least, where they will then reevaluate the position and extend the booking depending on success in the role. The school is a 2 form entry primary school that received GOOD in their last Ofsted in 2016. The Head has been at school for the last 4 years and in this time has maintained a largely consistent staff base as it is a pleasant and welcoming place to work.
This role would involve settling in and immediately beginning preparation ahead of the KS2 SATs which are expected to run as normal next year. Ideally the candidate would be a teacher with experience in preparing for and administering KS2 SATs, with in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a track record of raising attainment. The school also have aspirations of one day being graded as OUTSTANDING by Ofsted and to do this must improve on pushing the higher attaining students further. Therefore, any experience teaching in an Outstanding school with impressive results would be valuable.
