Y5 PPA Cover Role - February Start!

  • Long-term, part-time position on a 0.6 basis.

A very popular school in Blackpool are actively seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and passionate Year 5 Teacher. The KS2 position is to start after the February half term to cover PPA and NQT release time across the schools Y5 Classes and will continue until July 2019 at least. The Headteacher has expressed the days will most likely be Monday-Wednesday. This is a large Primary School serving a pleasant catchment area. The school is located in the South Shore area of Blackpool and is easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Kirkham, Preston, Leyland, Chorley, Garstang and Lancaster.

This is a part time class teaching role and the school are looking for a practitioner who will communicate well alongside the main class teachers. The school welcomes applications from Experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers. The school is made up of a supportive staff team and due to this school being one of the largest in the area, the planning responsibilities will be shared alongside a partner teacher.

The School was graded as 'Good' by Ofsted and it was said that most students reach the expected levels in reading, writing and mathematics at the end of Year 6. The pupils are welcoming, friendly and polite, they are eager to learn and behaviour in lessons is exemplary. The Deputy Headteacher tells me that to uphold GOOD behaviour in school; they are looking for a practitioner with good behaviour management.

You will be given full support from the Senior Leaders and the successful teacher must be familiar with the KS2 curriculum and have a genuine passion for working with children. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to grow and develop professionally.
