Full time Y5 Class Teacher - NQTs welcome starting in Rotherham after half term

The children, staff and governors at this school are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher for a Y5 class to start at Oct half term. This is a great opportunity to become part of our two form entry “Good” primary school - judged by Ofsted January 2015. The school is now federated in a trust and thus there are many opportunities to work alongside staff at both schools. The teaching staff in these schools are committed to nurturing new staff to support the development of the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to be an outstanding classroom practitioner. We are looking for someone who will: • Be an inspiring, highly skilled classroom practitioner with high expectations of all pupils • Have a sound understanding of primary pedagogy • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Focus clearly on the drive to lift all pupil attainment • Promote positively the outcomes of the ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda • • Understand the requirements of the New National Curriculum introduced in September 2014 • Ideally specifically skilled in the teaching of Mathematics and English • Have experience of using a variety of assessment strategies and assessment data to ensure all pupils make at least good progress. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
