Year 5 Teacher

Job description

Year 4/5 Teacher required for an Outstanding RC Primary School in Haslingden (January – July 2018)

  • 6 month fixed-term contract
  • 'Outstanding' Primary School in Haslingden
  • Full-time, long-term position – possibly temp to perm.

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a client school that are looking to recruit a KS2 Teacher to start in January 2018. Due to a planned absence the Head Teacher is seeking a reliable, passionate and enthusiastic Year 4/5 Class Teacher to come in and hit the ground running. The position is full-time and will continue until the end of the school year in July 2018.

The school is a larger than average, award winning Primary school based in the small market town of Haslingden. It was graded ‘Outstanding’ in its last Ofsted report and exceptional progress is made by the pupils through key stage 1 and attainment levels are broadly in line with the national average by the end of key stage 2. This is largely down to the quality and consistency of teaching, secure assessment procedures and excellent leadership and management of the Head Teacher and senior leader.

The Year 4/5 class consists of 28 pupils from varying backgrounds and mixed ability. There are 2 pupils in the class with additional needs however; there is a Teaching Assistant in place to offer support and guidance throughout the placement.
