Due to a member of staff leaving the school this is an open vacancy with the school looking to initially appoint a Year 4 teacher for one term from April to July 2021. Normally the school would look to recruit a permanent member of staff immediately, however due to the current situation regarding school closures and the uncertainty around job security, the school have decided to recruit on a temporary basis initially, with a view to becoming permanent in the next academic year.

-          Highly supportive Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team

The school is an average sized primary with good facilities and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. Since appointing a new Senior Leadership Team four years ago, the school has made notable improvements and now boasts a positive reputation within the local community. The Head Teacher is popular amongst staff and has been described as ‘approachable’ and ‘fair’, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing and development of staff. The wider team are welcoming, dynamic, and of a very high calibre. Although behaviour across school is generally good and standards are set high, it is paramount that the appointed practitioner is confident in following the school’s well established behaviour policy.

To be successful in this role:

-          A Class Teacher with experience of teaching within Key Stage 2

-          A fully inducted Primary Teacher

-          Hard working, organised and committed to raising standards

-          Able to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
