Year 4 Primary Teacher, Islington

A great two form entry mainstream school in Islington, N5 are looking for an Year 4 Primary Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 team at the beginning of March. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and continues to strengthen each year. The school is a 17 minute walk to Arsenal Underground Station and 8 minute walk to Cannonbury Station (National Rail).

''Our curriculum is designed to excite and stimulate pupils to learn about the world in which they live. Our pupils enjoy a creative approach to learning and personal development. The leadership structure ensures that the best use is made of all our resources and is focused on setting high expectations and securing high standards''.

The school offers a range of external enrichment activities including school outings to the Cardfields and cultural enrichment tours, the school has recently created an 'Edible Playground' and reading workshops for parents to name a few.

The school is part of the Islington council and has an overseeing Governing Body which helps the school achieve many of there objectives.

Year 4 Primary Teacher

Type: Full-time, long-term role

Start: 07/03/2019

Requirements: A valid QTS, DBS on the update service and 2 years of experience

  • Experience and knowledge of working with children with a wide range of abilities
  • A general understanding of national/foundation stage curriculum
  • An interest, motivation and passion for working with children and developing skills to facilitate this
  • Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
  • Commitment, initiative and reliability
  • A willingness to cooperate in team planning and work be proactive and eager to learn.
