Year 6 Teacher – Primary Schools | Barnsley & Sheffield

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher ready to guide pupils through their final year of primary education? We are recruiting for talented teachers to work across welcoming primary schools in Barnsley and Sheffield.


The Role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Prepare pupils confidently for SATs assessments.
  • Provide targeted interventions to support progress and attainment.
  • Create a positive, structured learning environment that promotes independence and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders to ensure every child achieves their potential.

‍ What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs preparation.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A proactive, positive attitude with high expectations for pupil achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
