Year 2 Teacher – Primary Schools | Barnsley & Sheffield

Are you a nurturing and motivated teacher with a passion for Key Stage 1? We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to work across vibrant and supportive primary schools in Barnsley and Sheffield.

The Role

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Prepare pupils for end-of-Key-Stage 1 assessments.
  • Support pupils in developing strong foundations in phonics, reading, writing, and maths.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide targeted support to ensure every child achieves their potential.

‍ What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable).
  • Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A caring, patient approach with high expectations for all learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
