Job description

SEN Teacher – Primary Schools | Barnsley & Sheffield

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are seeking an inspiring professional to support primary-aged pupils across schools in Barnsley and Sheffield.


The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • Develop and implement EHCP targets.
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

‍ What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working within a primary setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEND (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs).
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
