Year 2 Teacher needed in Dunstable

  • Competitive Rates of Pay - Up to £150 a day

I am currently working on behalf of a large primary school are looking to appoint a strong Year 2 teacher to begin to cover a long term absence. The role will include planning and preparing suitable and engaging lessons, assessing and progressing children’s learning effectively, managing the classroom and behaviour effectively and also encouraging social and extracurricular interests.

Successful candidates will have recent experience of working within a primary school, ideally within KS1. Experience of teaching SATs and a proven track record of this will be highly advantageous. An excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum, particularly Maths and English, will be required.

Within the classroom there are certain children with behavioural issues as well as minor learning difficulties. Strong behaviour management will be required to be successful and any experience of working with children with SEN would be advantageous, although not essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
