Year 2 teacher - Bury (BL9) primary school

Due to an earlier than expecting maternity leave in the Key Stage 2 department, a school in the Bury (BL9) area is currently looking for an experienced Year 2 teacher to start on the 14th January 2019 and carry on until the end of the academic year.

The Head teacher is looking for a fully qualified teacher who has previously worked in a Year 2 setting and has SATS prep experience to join the staffing team and continue the school's excellent provision. The school can offer the successful candidate a Level 3 teaching assistant to support the pupils in the classroom and lead interventions and also PPA cover for lesson planning and marking. In return, the Head expects the teacher to fully immerse themselves in the whole school life, marking and evaluating pupils progress, helping in extra curricular activities and parents evening.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified teacher
  • Have experience working with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to high expectations of behaviour
  • Be passionate about providing exciting learning experiences for the children in a cross curricular context

The Bury primary school has recently been rated GOOD by Ofsted and is a busy but very friendly school. The primary school is proud to be at the heart of the local community which shares the schools warm and inclusive ethos.

  • Salary from £22,467 - £38,250 pro rata
