Overview of the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a 1 form entry Primary School in the heart of Preston. The school are looking for nothing less than an INSPIRATIONAL Teaching Assistant to start after the half-term break five days per week from 8:45-15:15 with 30 minutes break. This is a new role; therefore there is the potential of a permanent contract from September 2019 providing the support is effective. The school are looking for an experienced KS1 Practitioner therefore experience working with young children is essential. Sound knowledge of leading Phonics interventions is essential for this role. The successful applicant will provide general support to the Y1 class teacher and work alongside small groups of children to close the gaps between their peers.

"We are a welcoming school with a strong values and a close-knit team. I am currently in search of a motivating Year 1 Teaching Assistant to come in and work alongside our experienced Year 1 teacher. The successful applicant must be experienced and able to think on their feet. The staff at our school are supportive and work closely together to develop best practice; we are looking for someone who is able to contribute to that. This role is a new position in our school and it is something we want to trial out in the first instance. However, there may be a permanent contract at the end of the academic year."

Teaching Personnel work closely with a number of schools across Lancashire, I personally work with Primary Schools across Preston, Chorley, Leyland and Skelmersdale. The Primary Team is made up of four experienced consultants who cover the Lancashire County. We are able to offer a number of CPD Opportunities to Teachers that register with us and we are interested in constantly up-skilling Teachers that are registered with us. CPD courses include; Team Teach, Autism Awareness, PREVENT DUTY and Safeguarding and Child Protection Level 1 and 2.
