Welsh Learning Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit fluent welsh  Learning Support Assistants in preparation for when schools re-open. Teaching Personnel currently work with 51 Welsh Medium Primary Schools across South Wales who come to us with supply, part time and full time positions for the New Academic Year.

Whilst having previous experience working as a Support Assistant in a Care or Education setting is advantageous, it is not essential to this post as we can offer Continious Professional Development prior to starting the role.

The ability to communicate through the medium of welsh is essential for this post.

Position: Learning Support Assistant

Pay: 10 per hour (PAYE)

Location: South East Wales – Cardiff |Newport | Caerphilly | Torfaen | Merthyr Tydfil | Blaenau Gwent| Monmouthshire | Rhondda Cynon Taf

Contract: Supply | Part-time  | Full time

Start date: CORONAVIRUS NOTICE: Teaching Personnel are still recruiting staff during this time of crisis, in preparation for vacancies to start in the eventuality of schools reopening.

Positions

The positions vary depending on the needs of the pupils. Below are some of the needs we have recruited for this academic year:

Autism and Attention Deficit Disorder

Dyslexia and Dyscalculia

Cerebral Palsy

Social Anxiety and Attachment Disorder

Moderate Learning Difficulties

Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties

Down Syndrome

Hearing Impairement

Prader-Willi Syndrome

Visual impairment

We also work closely with a number of resource bases and Welsh Immersion Units attached to mainstream Primary Schools who continuously look for staff to support a number of pupils with varying needs.

What will happen next?

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
