Learning Support Assistant required to work with Visual Impaired pupil in Year 2 (Islington)

I am currently working with a primary school in North London who are looking to appoint a learning support assistant after the Summer break.
The successful candidate will be required to work with a visually impaired pupil in Year 2. You will be under the direction of the class teacher and will assist in the support and inclusion of this pupil in the mainstream school.
*Supporting the pupil with all aspects of work
*Develop an understanding of the specific needs of the visually impaired pupil
*Aid the child to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on his/her own
*Clarifying and explaining instructions
*Offer appropriate communication strategies, including Braille, when required
*Meeting physical needs as required whilst encouraging independence
*Contribute to the maintenance of children’s progress records.

What we are looking for:
*Experience working with visually impaired children
*Qualifications related to the role
*Someone who is available ideally immediately
*Have a valid DBS on the update service
