Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Tutor to join a specialist education setting supporting young people with additional learning needs. This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a committed education professional who is confident in delivering personalised learning programmes that enable pupils to overcome barriers and achieve meaningful progress.
The successful candidate will be available for a September 2026 start, although there is flexibility for an earlier start for the right individual.
About the Role
This rewarding position involves planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of learners with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties and associated learning needs.
You will work closely with teaching colleagues, therapists and wider professionals to ensure every pupil receives the support required to achieve their personal and academic goals.
You will be expected to assess progress, adapt learning strategies, build positive relationships and create an inclusive environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to succeed. This role would suit someone who is resilient, adaptable and capable of making an immediate impact from day one.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced educator who has previously worked within an SEN environment and can confidently hit the ground running. You should have excellent behaviour management skills, a creative approach to teaching and a genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
- Have experience supporting learners with special educational needs.
- Be confident planning and delivering differentiated learning.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Be organised, proactive and committed to achieving outstanding outcomes.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or have significant experience delivering education within specialist settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
