Are you able to tutor functional skills/foundation GCSE English and Maths?
Are you able to manage challenging behaviour, or other additional needs?
Teaching Personnel’s Tuition Service supplies tutors to the Local Authority for children who are out of education due to various reasons including behaviour, SEN, mental health and LAC.
The benefits of the role:
- Part time tutoring, most commonly 2 hours per day, 5 days per week per student
- Relaxed environment – Woolwich Library is a large space suitable for tuition
- Tuition can be ongoing for the whole academic year
- You may play a crucial part in getting children back into education
- GBP20-GBP25 per hour, dependent on experience
You will be expected to:
- Plan, prepare and deliver the work
- Liaise directly with the parent/carer to arrange when you will deliver the tuition each day
- Understand challenging behaviour and additional needs, and take this into consideration when planning your sessions
- Report back weekly on attendance, engagement and progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
