Job description

Maths and English Tutor – Hindley (WN2)

We are seeking enthusiastic tutors to deliver 1:1 support in Maths and English for pupils in the Hindley (WN2) area. This is a rewarding role focused on helping learners build confidence, close gaps in their knowledge, and make real progress in core subjects.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering personalised 1:1 tuition in English and Maths

  • Supporting pupils who may be out of mainstream education or need extra help

  • Adapting lessons to suit different ages, abilities, and learning styles

  • Encouraging confidence, motivation, and engagement in learning

  • Recording progress and sharing feedback with parents, carers, or local authorities

We are looking for tutors with:

  • Experience teaching or tutoring children or young people

  • Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths

  • A patient, adaptable, and supportive approach

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • £25–£30 per hour (depending on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
