Job description

Maths Tutor – Ashton-under-Lyne (OL6 / OL7)

We are seeking a committed Maths tutor to support learners in the Ashton-under-Lyne area (OL6 / OL7). This role is ideal for teachers, tutors, or support staff with strong numeracy skills who are looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity to work outside the traditional classroom.

You will be providing tailored 1:1 tuition to pupils who may be out of mainstream education, helping them develop confidence, strengthen their Maths knowledge, and work towards their academic goals. Sessions are delivered face-to-face in homes or local community settings and are personalised to meet each learner’s needs.

We are looking for individuals with experience supporting children or young people, strong subject knowledge in Maths, and the ability to engage pupils who may have additional needs or gaps in their education. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) is required.

In return, we offer £25–£30 per hour (depending on experience), flexible weekday hours during the school day, weekly PAYE pay with no umbrella deductions, and the chance to make a real difference to learners across Ashton-under-Lyne.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
